Myofascial Release Sessions Near Birmingham, AL

Do you suffer from chronic muscle tension?

  • Do you feel tight and compressed all over?
  • Are you considering major surgery?
  • Do you feel afraid that something could be terribly wrong with your body?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, then myofascial release is for you!

Myofascial release helps to soften the fascial system all throughout the body.

What is fascia?
Fascia is connective tissue that runs all throughout the body from head to toes.  It is the glue that holds the musculoskeletal structure in place as well as the organs and nerves. Without fascia, the body would simply be a sack of muscles and bones. Fascia is a spider-like webbing that can grip or brace when under stress. This can cause tightness and pain to radiate all throughout the physical body, beyond the site of the most egregious pain.
Stress can affect your fascia.
Trapped emotions, trauma, psychological tensions and environmental stressors can all cause fascial restrictions and adhesions to build up in the body.

Traditional physical, occupational and massage therapies treat the symptoms caused by the tension of the Myofascial system, but does not address the pressure that causes and perpetuates the symptoms.
Only Myofascial Release treats the entire Myofascial mind-body complex offering both physical and emotional freedom from tension.

When undergoing myofascial release, it is not uncommon to feel warm, relaxing sensations throughout the body while the system relaxes and releases in order to heal.

What are you waiting for?
You will feel lighter, freer, more energetic and open after undergoing a myofascial release session at a Studio G Pilates class in Birmingham, AL.
